• Fix an issue where passwords are rejected if they contain certain HTML or script characters. All UTF-8 characters should be allowed when creating or changing a password.  In addition, the password strenght meter should indicate when a new password is invalid due to the length or upper and lower case characters not being present, not just based on the measured complexity.
• Fix an issue where a user other than the creator of a note cannot commit changes to the note's text fields from the small note on the workspace, even if the sprint allows all users to make updates to notes.
• Fix an issue where external user feedback is rejected if the user enters certain HTML or script characters. All UTF-8 characters should be allowed when providing feedback.
• Fix an issue where external collaboration does not work from "Project Workspace" and an error or "oops" page is displayed when a user tries to send or preview a collaboration invite.

• Deprecate support for IE 11 and IE 11 Mobile as they are not powerful or stable enough to handle whiteboards (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera browsers are all supported).
• Provide external collaboration functionality for whiteboards and templates so users can get input from non-Sprintbase users.
  • By default, this is disabled in existing sprints and enabled for all new sprints.

  Bug fixes

• Fix issue where user's move indicator displays on the workspace mobile view (even though the notes do not move).
• Fix issue where updating the event date/times in the dashboard or control panel would occasionally not apply and the event would jump back to its previous position.
• Fix issue where copy & pasting grouped objects in a whiteboard or template could cause the synchronization to break on a collaborative note.
• Correct the position where new notes are added on tabbed workspaces (such as Prototype and Implement) so that the behaviour is the same as in non-tabbed workspaces.
• Fix issue where the right-click context menu to add notes on a workspace was always available even if the step being viewed was locked and the ADD button was not displayed.
• Fix issue where the output PDF and analytics page always displayed the plural number text for number of notes added, even if only 1 had been submitted.

  New features

• Enhancements to the user workspace:
  • New notes appear in the top-left of the visible/zoomed area (under the add button) based on where the user is viewing the workspace.
  • When a user moves a note, other team members viewing the workspace will see an animation and who performed the move.
  • Add a right-click context menu for adding new notes at a specific point in the workspace.
• When navigating between steps, ensure that the workspace is shown at top-left (rather than where the previous step was last focused).
• Add process images for each custom process and update the dashboard interface and PDF output to display them.
• Add Sprintbase Sprint Setup Quickstart to the TEAM RESOURCES tab.
• Add support for uploading attachments and custom guidance in the following formats:
  • OpenDocument Text (*.odt)
  • OpenDocument Spreadsheet (*.ods)

• Whiteboard & Template note enhancements:
  • Sticky-notes and text should start selected (for moving) and not ready for editing text.
  • Add a separate mode for grabbing the whiteboard and selecting/moving items.
  • Fix connector snap positions for different objects (notably triangle). so that the lines/arrows display in the correct places.
  • Fix issue on mobile where the first connection would make the second note become invisible.
  • Display the user that is moving/adding/removing/editing an element on the whiteboard
  • Provide an animation when an item is moved by another user in a whiteboard
  • Change Circle, Triangle and Square notes so that they are special types of sticky-note and can have text entered into them.
  • Restrict the zoom out to 1:1 and ensure that the whiteboard remains focussed in the frame.
  • Apply shadows to sticky-notes and set the default color to yellow
  • Change the save/close buttons and behaviour so that it is not so easy to lose your work before the first save!
  • Improve where items are added - All new items are added at the center of user's visible area, taking account of the zoom and position a user has.
  • Allow direct typing into notes (sticky, circle, square and triangle) when selected, not requiring a double click.
• Sprint welcome emails should take the user directly to the sprint rather than to the homepage when clicking on the login link (if the user has already registered).

  Bug fixes

• Fix text box missing white background when drag-expanded in create sprint and control panel.
• Fix issue where chat window title wraps onto a second line if there are more than 9 unread messages.
• Only show the "Select Process" option when creating a sprint or adding custom guidance if the user has more than one process available.
• Fix issue where the step popup updates incorrectly if the active step changes while a previous popup is being displayed.
• Correct the minimum/maximum values for sprint step votes/submissions which could cause validation errors in some cases when saving a sprint.
• Fix issue where the Design Brief (when viewed in the popup on dashboard) would not display the same line-breaks as typed.

• Fix issue where a user's remaining votes gets updated to an incorrect value when a note that has votes from the user is edited by another user.
• Fix issue where updating a sprint process customization where the process was used by a large number of sprints caused a timeout and would not save.
• Fix issue where the customization of guidance sections would not allow certain areas to be removed
• Fix issue where saving a new sprint would not be possible if the first create attempt failed due to invalid data; all subsequent attempts to save would fail with an invalid process error.

• Enable custom sprints - provides a way of defining alternative sprint journeys and client-specific DT processes.

• Fix issue where attempting to upload a video that is too large would report the issue but continue uploading the file anyway.
• Fix issue where multiple videos could be uploaded against the same note simultaneously but only one could be cancelled.
• Fix issue where non-ASCII characters would not render in Chat or Comments.
• Fix issue where email addresses from a domain name with numbers (e.g. "163.com") would not be accepted by the application when trying to register new users.
• Fix issue where long domain names would flow outside the small note cards on step pages when added in the "Optional URL" field.
• Fix issue on whiteboard where, after dragging the canvas, elements could not be moved without resetting the zoom.

• Fix issue where if a sprint is launched early (before the account start) then the read-only warning on the sprint suggests the account license has expired rather than has not yet started.

• Fix issue where the user's remaining submission count on a step would not update when a note was added.
• Fix layout of note headers in the workspace so that comments and attachments can display up to 99 each before wrapping onto a second line.

• Fix issue where people trying to change/set their password with an old email (before the 1.7.3 release) are redirected to an error page.
• Fix site admin issue where once a new user has been added to an account, clicking on his/her name will cause an error page.
• Update the database processing/connection to reduce the possibility of "deadlock" errors occurring and provide smart retry for most actions.
• Fix issue where for certain users, clicking on the "View Output" link in the Show The World step would redirect them to the home page rather than show the output.
• Fix a security issue in SSO login where the user authenticated by the 3rd party identity provider was not validated to ensure that Sprintbase expected it to use that specific SSO provider.
