Alabama Slammer

Sprintbase version 2.6.0.0

  New features

  • Deprecate support for IE 11 and IE 11 Mobile as they are not powerful or stable enough to handle whiteboards (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera browsers are all supported).
  • Provide external collaboration functionality for whiteboards and templates so users can get input from non-Sprintbase users.
    • By default, this is disabled in existing sprints and enabled for all new sprints.
    • Ability to request external feedback is controlled via the sprint control panel.
    • External users that are invited to collaborate do not have to register and only have access to the specific whiteboard/templates that has been shared with them.
  • Whiteboards and Templates only update the image and commit a save from the client if the user has made any changes (this speeds up the Save & Close process and reduces redundant saves).
  • Replace the "Experiment" note on Prototype step with a new template and remove the "Lean Experiment Map" from the Implement step.
  • Provide a single-step sprint "process" to allow users to collaborate on general tasks or in a way without a prescriptive gated process.
  • When searching for users in administration or in a Sprint control panel, pressing Enter will automatically select the top item in the displayed list (if any are found) and add that person to the account or sprint.
  • Update the information provided for users who can administer multiple accounts to show more helpful and relevant fields.
  • Simplify the sprint creation process so that it is completed by a single popup and the user is taken straight into the sprint on completion.
    • Remove the concept of "Launch" - all sprints start active from the date/time that they are created.
    • Allow the sprint administrators and any assigned coaches to move the sprint start date (after which the sprint becomes visible to other team members).
    • Remove the need for the system to send sprint creation notification emails - sprint admins, coaches and team leaders can notify everyone via the sprint Control Panel once the sprint is ready.
  • Improve the sprint step workspace zoom in/out so that the focal point is around the mouse position rather than the top-left of the screen.
  • Increase the timeout for two-factor authentication (2FA) to 30 minutes to allow for delays in email sending/processing.

  Bug fixes

  • Fix an issue where it was possible to double-click on "Save & Close" in a whiteboard and create 2 new notes.
  • Fix an issue where on Chrome on Android, the user and Sprintbase logos did not display correctly in account administration pages.
  • Fix an issue where whiteboard images can be lost if the user who opens a whiteboard has lost internet connectivity.
  • Fix an issue where copied sprints did not carry through whether the positions of the original notes are locked or not.
  • Fix an issue where web link notes did not return any data or image when searching an external URL.
  • Fix an issue where pasting content into a whiteboard could add it outside of the viewable area.
  • Fix an issue where "always open" steps erroneously prevent users from entering notes and display a "Step locked" popup.
